On the 4th October 2000, the 5,387,862nd (total international production) and last original Mini was driven off the production line at the Longbridge Plant in Birmingham by 60s icon Lulu to the strains of The Italian Job theme song 'Self-preservation Society', the film forever associated with the ingeniously designed and internationally renowned car.
